Our orchestras

Sexteto Cristal
Sexteto Cristal keeps alive the beautiful sound of the nearly forgotten musical tradition of tango. The tangueros’ desire for the danceable “classics” of all time was the sextet’s initial inspiration and guiding vision as they developed their own style and repertoire.
In their interpretation, one hears the original sound of various orchestras, reflecting the very special melodic phrasing, dramatic articulation, and powerful rhythm of tango’s golden age.

Analía Goldberg Quartet
Analía Goldberg is a pianist, composer, conductor, arranger, and producer specializing in tango and Argentine popular music. She received her training from Haidee Schwartz and at the Escuela de Música Popular de Avellaneda in Buenos Aires—under teachers such as Rodolfo Mederos, Beba Pugliese, Rodolfo Alchourrón, and Susana Agrest—and is currently continuing her studies with Gabriel Senanes. She was the pianist for the Cuarteto Almagro and the Color Tango Orchestra and has accompanied artists such as Guillermo Fernández, Lidia Borda, Ligia Piro, Pablo Agri, Leopoldo Federico, Horacio Romo, Amelita Baltar, and Chino Laborde. She founded and directed the Ojos de Tango Orchestra, conducted the Cátulo Tango Ensemble, and the Avellaneda Municipal Tango Orchestra. She is also the founder and director of the Oliverio Girondo Cultural Center and teaches in the City of Buenos Aires’ program for children’s and youth orchestras. Her artistic work is characterized by a personal approach that combines tradition, contemporary language, and a strong expressive style.

Analia Goldberg has been a member of renowned Argentine tango orchestras such as Color Tango. For many years, she has led her own ensembles from the piano. This evening, she will present her music as part of a quartet. On bandoneon: Simone Marini, with whom she has already recorded two albums (one as a quartet and one as a duo); violin: James Ogle; double bass: Horst Dehnicke.
The ensemble presents a repertoire that is a true treat for dancers on the dance floor: works by the most renowned tango orchestras, as well as several compositions by Analía Goldberg herself. In addition, Analía Goldberg enriches the concert with her voice in several milonguero tangos, lending the performance an extraordinary dynamism and power through her distinctive rhythmic style.
